How to Book Your Stationery
The Betty Lu Paperie ordering, proofing, and printing processes is easy and stress-free.
– I – Choose Your Look
Whether you choose digital, foil or letterpress from my boutique of designs (or you want to mix and match elements from different suites!), your invitation will set the stage for the special details of your celebration. Browse from our catalog of 15 wedding stationery collections here.
– Ii – Share the Specifics
After choosing your design, select from options like quantity and print method, then add to cart. A pop up form will appear for you to select custom options, like ink and envelope colors. We’ll contact you for wording. Once we have all wording and addresses, we’ll email you the first round of proofs.
– III – Proof, Print & Ship
We’ll work one-on-one together on your proofs until everything is perfect! After your approval, printing begins. We’ll provide tracking details when it ships and careful instructions for assembly and mailing, so you can mark “stationery” off your to-do list and keep waltzing toward your big day.
“Valerie, thank you so very much for all your guidance and creativity with the wedding invitations. They are spectacular!! We have had many friends reach out to us, so impressed with their quality, beauty and uniqueness. Your ears should have been burning! I passed your name and business along to friends. Again, I am extremely grateful for your knowledge, professionalism, creativity and talents shared with us!”

For your convenience, pricing and details are right on the website! This is also how you can book your suite. Browse through each wedding stationery collection page to find a design you love. Click on the item you wish to purchase, then choose your options from the dropdown menu. Pricing will update at the top of the listing.

After all proofs are approved, allow up to four weeks for production for letterpress, foil, and some of our embellishment options, like wax seals.
Digital printing offers a quicker turnaround time (10 business days) and more affordable elegance.
-
Book letterpress/foil printed stationery at least two months before you need it in hand. This allows time for design, proofing, printing, and shipping.
Book digitally printed stationery at least one month before you need it in hand.

Stationery is carefully packaged and delivered directly to you. I’ll also include detailed instructions for assembly, postage, and mailing. And, of course, you can always shoot me an email if you need any additional assistance!

Day-of wedding stationery can be booked 1 month or at least 3 weeks in advance of your event. We require that you have all information ready when you book–like your seating arrangements and wording.
We are unable to accommodate day-of clients whose weddings are 2 weeks away or less.
-
Absolutely! Our calendar is booked on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you want to reserve your spot in advance then you can definitely book before you have all details finalized. The only thing I’ll need from you is your confirmed event date. That way, we can work backwards from there to make sure you receive everything on time.
Please keep in mind the proofing process does not begin until we have all information from you, so this can delay the timeline. If you need stationery in hand soon (within 6 weeks from the date of purchase), we recommend having all information ready at the time of booking.
-
Count by number of households, not by the number of guests invited.
Invitations are available in increments of 25, with a minimum of 50 prints.
So, if you only need 85 suites, we recommend ordering up to 100. This will give you extras in case additional guests are added or anything gets lost in the mail. Plus, it gives you extras to have photographed on your big day (we recommend bringing 2-3 copies for your photographer) and a few to have as keepsakes for yourself.
-
We get right to work on your wedding suite! After you place an order, you’ll receive a proof via email within 5 business days (or in 4 weeks if you booked a custom venue illustration).
We prefer that you have all information ready when booking–like wording and guest addresses, when applicable.
After you receive your first round of proofs, we’ll work one-on-one together to make sure everything is perfect prior to printing. Three complimentary rounds of revisions are included.
-
Yes! All wording is fully personalized to your liking with your wedding information and details. However, the layout of text remains the same to protect the integrity of the original design. Include custom wording in the notes at checkout, and I'll take care of the rest!
-
Collections from Betty Lu Paperie are semi-custom. We do not offer fully custom stationery designs.
This means that the design remains relatively the same as seen on the website, but personalized with your wedding details and designed to match your wedding aesthetic.
All wording will be fully personalized to meet your needs, but we only offer very limited design customizations in order to stay true to our brand and aesthetic. Design customizations include adding a design element to your stationery and/or a venue illustration from our embellishments page.
Our day-of paper offerings are expanding! Until then, if you have a custom request, like bar menus, signage, champagne escort cards, etc., we’re happy to custom create them to match your invitation suite.

“I loved talking with Valerie–it made the experience so personal and made me feel like someone else really cared about the invitations as much as I did. I also loved that she had so many great designs that explained the etiquette for invitations that I didn't know before, and streamlined the whole process so I knew exactly what I needed to do. She was so attentive to detail, and I appreciated that we got to preview proofs of everything before it was finalized. I was also so thrilled with our custom crest, which she very kindly gave us a copy of so that we could print it on our custom chocolates! And, of course, the design and colors and paper are just gorgeous!”
